Field Technician Pathway
Field Technician I
Entry level position that will guide you through the proper education of how to maintain and perform basic repairs on conveyor equipment while following all safety protocols. You will learn how conveyors operate to provide an efficient flow in a client’s facility. Through the hands-on training you will gradually elevate to the next level of Technician II status.
Field Technician II
Capable of performing all basic maintenance needs on conveyor equipment. Additionally, a Technician II level can diagnose and repair a conveyor line that is out of operation. This will include all basic mechanical and electrical repairs that are a part of the conveyor system. You will have a basic understanding of VFD and PLC operations and how these can impact system performance.
Field Technician III
Capable of performing all basic maintenance needs on conveyor equipment. Additionally, a Technician II level can diagnose and repair a conveyor line that is out of operation. This will include all basic mechanical and electrical repairs that are a part of the conveyor system. You will have a basic understanding of VFD and PLC operations and how these can impact system performance.

About Century
Century Conveyor Systems Inc. started in 1981 as a conveyor service company, outfitted with a fleet of technician vans repairing systems within the tri-state area. Over the years, Century increased its service capabilities to installation and project management, eventually employing a team of engineers to design warehouse layouts.
In 2017, Century was purchased by Lafayette Engineering Inc. (LEI), a system controls house from Danville, KY. This acquisition by LEI provided access to proprietary controls, nationwide integration abilities, and expanded benefits for employees.
